It's been 7 years since the release of Venaculas' self-titled debut five-song EP released. The band his since since their fan base grow exponentially. Venaculas was highlighted twice in "Album Network", a national magazine, calling Venaculas the Midwest's "Breakout Band." After three consecutive top selling cd's at Homer's, Venaculas has decided to release their untitled 2007 Album in hopes to take it to the top. Venaculas appears reugularly in the CIMS and Aggro National Charts.
Available for download are the 5 singles that have been on rotation on radio stations throughout the Midwest (KIWR/89.7theRiver, KAZR - Des Moines, and KSEZ - Sioux City). The bands latest release "Open Your Eyes" is currently in rotation on 89.7 the River, KIWR. More recent isingles, such as "Out of Time" is receiving airplay on stations throughout Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri and Iowa and has been the #1 selling CD for the Homers record store chain and earned a #19 position on the national CIMS chart since its 1/31/05 release. Along with two songs being placed in the feature film "Treasure of the Seven Mummies", you'll find five songs featured in the motorcycle/racing documentary "Ride on the Edge".
Beyond the midwest, the band has seen the word spreading, and being highlighted/reviewed in 3 International Magazines (France, Germany, & Italy) doesn't hurt. With no site of slow-down, the band will continue to perform sold-out concerts and share the stage with bands, such as: Saliva, Sevendust, KottonMouth Kings, Puddle of Mudd, 10 Years, Powerman 5000, Primer 55, The Urge, Kackyl, Soil, hed(PE), Phunk Junkeez, and more.
Venaculas’ music can only be described as raw, explosive energy that showcases the band’s youth, honesty, gut-wrenching vocals and memorable guitar hooks. With a unique combination of aggro, metal and hip-hop the band appeals to many different fans from all sorts of ages.
